A physician shouldn't have to become an expert in 50 different state licensing processes just to practice medicine where their patients need them.

The reality of expanding your practice, joining a new health system, adding telehealth services, or simply maintaining your prescribing authority across state lines is that the administrative burden behind it is enormous, unforgiving, and completely unrelated to clinical skill.

Miss a document. Use the wrong form. Misread a deadline. The application stalls — and so does revenue. The Veracity Group exists to make sure that never happens to you.

The Reality

What medical licensing
actually looks like

If you've been through a state licensing process recently, you already know. If you haven't — here's the reality.

Week 1–2
You realize you need a license in a new state. You find a 40-page application packet, a list of required documents that includes things you haven't thought about in a decade, and a fee schedule that varies based on how long you've been in practice.
Week 3–4
You start gathering documents. Medical school transcripts. Residency verification letters. Every license you've ever held in every state — including that one from 2009 you barely remember. USMLE scores from Step exams you took in a different century.
Week 5–8
Primary source verifications. Each institution has its own process, timeline, and staff. You're chasing a residency coordinator who only responds to faxes. Your medical school's registrar takes 3–6 weeks. You're waiting — and not seeing patients in that state.
Week 9–16+
The application is submitted. Now it's in the board's queue. Some states take 6–10 weeks. Others take 4–6 months. If they have a question and you don't respond within their window, the application may be returned. You start over.
Finally
The license arrives. You've spent between 20 and 60 hours of your own time on this. That time had a cost — in missed clinical revenue, in delayed practice expansion, in administrative frustration that was never supposed to be your job. And that's just one state.

Every week a license is pending is a week a physician isn't generating revenue in that state. For most practices, the cost of delay far exceeds the cost of getting it done professionally.

Our Services

Three services.
One trusted team.

We manage the complete licensing and registration lifecycle — from initial application through ongoing renewals.

State Medical Licensing
All 50 States & Territories

Whether you need a single new license or a multi-state footprint, we manage every element of the process so your team doesn't have to.

  • Full application preparation and submission for new licenses in any state
  • IMLC compact applications — fastest path to 40+ states
  • License renewals tracked proactively before expiration
  • Reactivation of lapsed or inactive licenses
Controlled Substance Registration
All 50 States

Most states require a separate state-level CSR before your DEA application can be approved. This is the most common point of avoidable delay.

  • State CSR applications in all states that require them
  • Coordination with DEA timing — CSR active before DEA submission
  • Schedule selections (II–V) prepared correctly the first time
  • Multi-location CSR management
  • CSR renewals tracked and managed proactively
DEA Registration
New Applications & Renewals

Location-specific federal authorization to prescribe. Each practice address requires its own DEA number.

3
Years between renewal cycles
60
Days before expiry to renew
1
DEA per practice location
  • New DEA applications — all schedules and activity types
  • Renewals submitted 60 days before expiration
  • Multi-location DEA management per address
  • Address change coordination with state license sequencing
  • Proactive expiration alerts — no surprises
How It Works

From intake to
license in hand

Refined across hundreds of applications in all 50 states. Once issued, we track renewals automatically.

01
Intake & Assessment
We review the provider's credentials, identify every document needed, and map the exact sequencing required for your state(s).
02
Document Coordination
We contact every institution and verification service — managing follow-ups until every document is secured.
03
Application & Submission
We prepare the complete application, review for accuracy, and submit — eliminating errors that cause boards to return applications.
04
Board Follow-Up
We monitor progress, respond to board inquiries immediately, and confirm receipt of the issued license.
Who This Serves

Built for how medicine
is actually practiced today

Telehealth, multi-state groups, locums, border markets — wherever medicine is practiced, licensing follows.

Telehealth providers
Licensed in every state where your patients are located. We build and maintain multi-state license portfolios efficiently.
Locum & travel physicians
You need licenses faster than standard processes deliver. We prioritize speed and understand locum assignment timelines.
Physicians joining new groups
We coordinate licensing in parallel with credentialing so nothing holds up your start date at a new facility.
Small & solo practices adding providers
Every new physician or APP needs their own license and DEA. We make onboarding significantly faster and less painful.
Practices in border markets
A meaningful percentage of your patients cross state lines to see you. Expanding to serve them is often a straightforward licensing exercise.
Physicians with lapsed licenses
It happens. Renewal dates get missed. We handle reactivation without judgment and with urgency.
The Real Value

Time you get back.
Revenue you don't lose.

When The Veracity Group handles your licensing, you're not just buying administrative convenience. You're protecting the revenue timeline of your practice expansion.

You're protecting the prescribing authority your patients depend on. And you're getting your time back — the time you would have spent on hold with a state medical board.

Licensing paperwork does not move faster because a physician handles it personally. It moves faster because someone who does it every day knows exactly who to call, what to say, and what comes next.

$46,000
Cost of a 30-day licensing delay for a physician generating $400K/year — one physician, one state, one application.
$1,550 per working day in lost potential revenue
20–60 hours of physician time per single-state application
Multiply by every state, every provider, every renewal
The Complete Picture

Enrollment. Credentialing.
Licensing. All of it.

One firm. Every phase. No surprises.

Already knows your providers
We have your credentials on file. Adding a new license or registration doesn't mean starting from scratch — it means one phone call and we pick it up from there.
Tracks everything proactively
License expirations, DEA renewal windows, CSR renewal dates — we monitor all of it and alert you before anything is at risk, not after it's already lapsed.
Coordinates across services
Licensing feeds credentialing. CSR feeds DEA. DEA feeds enrollment. We manage the sequencing so the right things happen in the right order — every time.
